These Terms of Service govern all web design and hosting services provided by Get a Site. By proceeding with our services you agree to these terms.
1. Our Services
Get a Site provides web design and monthly hosting services for small businesses. The scope of each project — including features and functionality — will be agreed with you before work begins.
Timelines are estimates and may be extended if required materials, feedback, or approvals are delayed by the client.
2. Payment
Website Design Fee
There is no upfront design fee for our standard website tier. Fees for premium tiers will be agreed in advance.
Monthly Hosting Fee
Hosting is charged monthly, with fees starting from £25 per month depending on your package.
A pro-rata fee covering the remainder of the current calendar month is due before your website goes live. Your standard monthly subscription then begins on the 1st of the following month and is charged on the 1st of each month thereafter.
All payments are taken by card via Stripe.
Late Payments
If a monthly payment is not received within 7 days of the due date, Get a Site reserves the right to take the website offline until payment is received.
3. Revisions and Changes
Your monthly fee includes up to 15 minutes of website updates or minor changes per month at no extra charge. This allowance does not roll over to the following month.
Any work beyond the included 15 minutes is charged at £50 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments. You will always be notified before any chargeable work begins.
We aim to complete requested changes within 5 working days. Urgent requests will be accommodated where possible but cannot be guaranteed.
4. Your Responsibilities
You agree to provide all necessary content — including text, images, logos, and branding — in a timely manner. Delays in providing materials or feedback may result in delays to your project.
5. Intellectual Property
Get a Site retains ownership of any templates, code libraries, and tools used to build your website. You are granted a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use these as part of your website for as long as your subscription is active.
6. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any sensitive or proprietary information shared during the course of the project, including business strategies, customer data, and unpublished materials.
7. Limitation of Liability
Get a Site is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services. Our total liability will not exceed the total fees paid under your agreement with us.
8. Termination
Either party may cancel with 30 days written notice.
If you cancel, you will be charged for all work completed up to the cancellation date plus any non-refundable expenses incurred.
If Get a Site cancels, a refund will be issued for any fees paid for work not yet completed.
9. Portfolio Rights
Get a Site reserves the right to display completed websites in our portfolio and marketing materials. If you would prefer your website not to be featured, please let us know in writing and we will respect that request.
10. Domain Names
Where a domain name has been purchased through Get a Site on your behalf, that domain remains your property at all times.
If your agreement is terminated, Get a Site will transfer the domain to you upon request. It is your responsibility to request the transfer before the domain's renewal date. Get a Site is under no obligation to renew a domain that has not been transferred, and an untransferred domain may become publicly available after expiry.
